Time For A New PC?

Hello I am asking for advice to decide whether or not I should buy a new PC. I had the HP Pavilion Elite m9340f for almost 5 years and it worked perfectly fine during those years and even until now. I mainly use my pc for playing video games such as Minecraft and Euro Truck Simulator 2. I can run those games fine on low to decent settings. Slowly as the years pass by my pc just like any pc starts to brake down. I am currently saving up for my pc. I have $1250 put towards my new pc but I want to spend around $2000-2500. I have plans on building it myself along with my uncle who works in the tech field. I am wondering: 1) Should I go with my plan and wait until I have enough money to spend $2500 on a new pc. 2) Use my current pc until it brakes down to the point of no repair. 3) Spend my current money on a new pc. And finally 3) Keep using pc forever. (If you have any suggestions feel free to tell me them) I have no problem going with any of these options but I prefer going with 1. Also, when I do get my new pc what should I do with my old one?

Also, I heard that ddr4 memory is coming out and wondering if I should wait for it if it comes out by 6 months which is when I will have saved up money.

(One more thing, the $2500 is just for the tower)

(Sorry if you don't understand this, english is my second language no hate pls)

The cash you have right now is more than enough to build a great gaming PC. Would you like me to do you up a build?
DDR4 will be of no use to you. And neither will a $2500 pc. $1250 is more than enough to build a PC that can handle any game maxed out. :)

But the products will probably cost a fortune and maybe have compatibility issues and little motherboard support. Also I know that I can build a awesome pc for the money I have now but I'm willing to spend more so that I won't have to upgrade/get a new pc for a while. Thanks for your opinion.

they already have ddr4 mobo. if you could get like 2500$ by the end of this year you could add everything you want to this pc.

If you can make me with a build it would really help. I'm thinking of getting: i7 4790k, 16gb ram, 780ti.(maybe a bit overkill 😛) Others I have no idea and when the time comes I will create a separate thread for a pc building help because I'm not so good with pc's. If you think I should get any other hardware tell me. Thanks for your response.

I'm planning on playing other games too but I can only play those games because that's the maximum my pc can handle 🙁

All good friend, an i5 4690K is a great chip for gaming and the i7 won't perform any better than it, so you can save a bit of money there. The 780ti is great too, but it might be best to wait until the 880 comes out (better VRAM, less power consumption, less heat and noise). :)

For the gpu, I might consider waiting. In terms of gaming and pc performance in CPU according to this(http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-4790K-vs-Intel-4690K) the i7 is better but I don't know if the site reliable or bias

not a reliable source at all favors nvidia/intel more than amd. though amd is weaker in the cpu department but a pentilum versus fx 6300 and pentilum wins ha ha NO.

Thank you I might put this into consideration but I'm still leaning towards spending 2k for higher quality parts (I don't mean to say that these are bad ones) I'll try to base a build around this.

Wait whut.????????? Anyways yeah save your money and pm when your thinking about building it or if you have questions. With 2500 you can build a full 4k system or a triple monitor setup with sli/.cx.

Will do sir.

There is not a game on this planet that an i5 can not play at at least 60fps. i7 truly is a waste of money for gaming. I would get I5 and a GTX 780 or GTX 780 ti. You won't need more than that unless your going triple monitor or 4k.

i5 4690K and GTX 780ti along with a 1440p monitor would make for a pretty nice rig and still wouldn't cost $2500.
