Pc gamer reported that the new ps4 may be running a GPU comparable to a 7850. That's great as it may boost graphics all around for pcs and consoles alike. Now since I'm only running a 7870 hawk I think I should upgrade to retain my ability to play future games in ultra. My question is, is it worth it to buy another 7870 and xfire. Or should I go for a new stronger, single GPU? Maybe a titan? I know some games have issues with xfire. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jacob

titan has the worst value for money......
its price vs performance is as bad as hell.....

both the titan and the gtx690 are too overpriced cards...
titan being the granddaddy in history of worst cards....**** off titan...
the best bang for bucks would be two 7970's in sli......they perform far better than a titan and nearly match a gtx690 still being lower in cost than a titan.....

best of luck....
personally i'd say that your hd7870 is future proof for some upcoming years....
theres no need to change it now....

Until your HD7870 begins to have difficulty, AND you can't stand the gradual lowering of settings that might be required, there's no reason for an upgrade. It ought to be good for months yet, likely until both AMD and nVidia have released their next generation. I'd wait.
