Time to upgrade or nah?

So I have had this graphics card pushing probably 3 years or more, and currently I don't play anything too crazy. Csgo, gta some times, rocket league, random steam games, but I am looking forward to rainbow 6 siege and more upcoming games. My question Is technology wise sometime in the next 3-4 months is there going to be some new breakthrough that may cause price drops or just better gpu to spend your money on? price range $150-250.

CPU: Fx-6300 (oc 3.9)
MOBO: Gigabyte GA 970 D3P
GPU: Nvida Geforce gtx 650ti
RAM: Gskill sniper 4x2
PSU: Corsair 750w
HDD: 120GB SSD & 1TB HHD

A GTX 960 would be an awesome upgrade for you and you'd be able to hit medium-high in most new triple A games at 1080p.
