Time to upgrade or wait for components to lower their prices?

Hi, I'm planning to upgrade after 5 years my video card and monitor, my current specs is
i5 4690, Gigabyte motherboard, 8gb (2x4) hyper x fury, r7 260 video card, PSU Cougar SL 600 and monitor is samsung B150N.

So my choices are gigabyte rtx 2060 windforce or any 1070 card?
As for monitor, want to upgrade to 1080p 144hz ips ?
I go for budget performance and quality to last for another 5 years

I do play games like AC odysey, fallout 4 and upcoming AAA games, I do little video editing also.

Waiting till the ryzen 3000 series and the next gtx series from Nvidia before your upgrade seems like a good choice...

I5 4690 is actually still ok.
R7 260 is quite weak.

I would get a new GPU for now, either 2060 or 1070/1070ti/1080. Look for cheapest or best price/performance option!

After the GPU,
Get an SSD, if you do not have one yet.
Skip this one if you already have SSD.

For the processor, mobo and RAM: wait until Ryzen 3xxx series are available.
