Time to upgrade

I want to upgrade my GPU from my first build, two years ago.

I was thinking this R9 280x 3GB

My budget is ~$300. Whats the best deal out there. Will it work well with my CPU? And, will my psu be sufficient? Thanks for the input, still learning.

The Graphics card you linked is a very good choice, Although this GTX 770 from Evga with their Acx cooler would out perform it, http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp42774kr
This would be a wiser choice unless you play alot of Bf4 or Amd Optimized games.

If you can afford it the one above would out perform any R9 280x or any Gtx 770, Although is alot more and Gtx 770 might win on a few Nvidia games.
