Hello,
got a
LGA775 E8400 not oc on cool it eco
9800gt 512mb akimbo not oc
4gb ddr2
normal sata2 7200rpm hdd
psu ocz 550w

i saw the gtx 460 hawk as a good upgrade but will it be enough for gaming? adding 4gb of ddr2 ram maybe and oc i have no idea if its worth it ?

i also want an ssd sata 3 but with this setup i will just get sata2 feature ( sdd for my os and couple games)

i want to upgrade but i dont know if the price for the z68 board are good or p67 and a lot confuse on what to take to match a 2500k lga 1155

psu will also need to be replace if i use any of the option?

thx for help very loss with all those board

Solution
First thing I would do is to overclock that E8400.

I'm running an E8500 at 3.8GHz, with the intent that this speed is a somewhat conservative overclock.

a gtx 460 would be a good upgrade for your system. 4GB of new ram will not help you, (do you have 64bit OS).
Buying a i5 and p67, would basicly be a brand new computer build as you will need new ram too (ddr3).
if your on a budget just buy theGtx 460 . if you want new system then you will need to say what your budget is, but the i5 and p67 is a great combo.

well if you have a 1k budget, i would look at the "budget intel build" on this site http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/317203-13-bestconfigs-poll-budget-intel-based-gaming . lots of really great builds for your money. much better graphics card than the gtx 460 too.
you mentioned 16GB ram, that is way too much, 8GB is more than enough.
if you didnt want a new build, just buy the gtx 460 but dont bother with the new ram 4GB is still enough for gaming.

yup i think thats what i am going to do and will wait for an upgrade

will just upgrade the video and buy a ssd drive

is this card worth it? http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=56262&promoid=1367

it look like the 460 gtx hawk

either one should i need a new psu (have a ocz 550w) and this one will probally be enough to keep when i will upgrade http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=56789&promoid=1367

my motherboard is sata2 only should i buy an sata2 sdd or buy now an ssd 3 for my future upgrade
