I tried using "timedemo 1" in the 2004 console and I get an "unrecognized
command" response. I thought this was supposed to show the frame rate.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

If you're trying to run a timed demo, then use this format:

demoplay nameofdemo?timedemo

It will give you a simple average in the console window. Not the nice
min/max/avg that UT99 had, but it's something.

The 'stat fps' command still works if you're interested in your
current framerate.

UT99's 'timedemo 1" command was much more useful though... I don't
know why Epic got rid of it.

You're using the wrong command. :) What you're looking for is "stat fps".

Actually 'stat fps' is what I was looking for.

Thanks to you and Dunsinane for replying.
