I have this memory: Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB (2x4 GB Modules) 1600 MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Kit (PC3 12800) 240-Pin SDRAM KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX
On an Asrock H61M/U3S3 board.
(Benchmark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/18205135 )
There are instructions from the manufacturer here: https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/khx1600c9d3k2_8gx.pdf
The BIOS won't let me set the RAM to 1600 (maybe the CPU just isn't up to it?), but did let me set it to 1333. I manually entered in 9-9-9-27 @ 1.65V. It seems to be working fine now, but I'm a little nervous. (Before, it had been at some other timings, at 1.5V, and was getting a really low benchmark.)
The manufacturer instructions give timings/voltage for 1600, but not for 1333. Is it okay to just use the timings/voltage for 1600 at 1333, as I've done? Or is my computer going to blow up?
