Hey guys, I actually have one for you. I am building myself a machine for my bday and I wanted to see what everyone thought just for fun.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Y97Lqs

Many of you will have read me recommend Asus boards constantly. I chose the Gigabyte for a very good reason....the black I/O plate XD lol. I also have this similar board in an FM2+ format. I chose the Kingston SSD's because I have touted the SSDNow V300 Series as an excellent budget SSD and I would like to personally test the Fury series.

I am also getting these cables off of amazon:

Silverstone Tek Flat Flexible Short Cable Set - $29.99
2x StarTech 6" Latching Round SATA Cable - $6.94
Silverstone Tek Sleeved Slim-SATA to SATA Adapter Cable - $11.99

The Noctua NH-L12 doesn't fit with it's top fan on but I am gonna see if I can't do something about that.

Sorry bud, I've had to RMA countless more crucial memory dims than kingston. In fact I have had to RMA no kingston memory dimms. Kingston has been manufacturing memory for decades. Kingston has made a loyal customer out of me until I have a negative experience which makes me not want to attach my name to them. The several SSD Nows I have used have always worked, sure they are not too fast but they are reliable an inexpensive and plenty faster than an HDD.

I agree that Intel and Samsung are simply the best and have posted as much consistently.

im not trying to say that kingston is terrible brand or anything, just that the V300 series is the dark spot of their company and you should avoid exactly those at all possible costs.Any possible SSD is better than V300, believe me bro.

I did not read your 4 given links, all I surmised from what I browsed is that they are guilty of switching to a cheaper vnand after reviews. That's fine with me as I never went to their reviews for performance indicators, I simply bought a pair cause they're cheap and have had nothing but satisfactory performance with a total of 3 wipes and reloads both separately and in raids 1 and 0. You can't tell me to stay away from something I already happily own. After I have tested a pair of the Hyper X SSD's I will go ahead and try a pair of crucial SSD's.

Also just so you know I have not owned but had a chance to install and use OCZ, intel 520, 530, 730, and Samsung 840evo and 850 pro SSD's

That's an interesting build, something I would consider for a desktop, but it's about 12 liters larger than the ML07 which I have wanted to give a try. I have my heart set on reviewing the Hyper X 3K, so I am going for a pair of 240's over a single 500 drive. Otherwise it looks pretty cool.

First quarter of 15 supposedly, I would guess between March and May. And if I can swing it in the budget I may hop up to the i7 but don't think I will need it since this box will be strictly for gaming and I don't stream my gameplay yet, but hey we will see. You know you've just unintentionally convinced me not to buy my Mobo/CPU combo yet until I see what games support DX12 and what people think of skylake.
