When did this start?? Someone posted about it last week I think, and I
thought they were joking!
My tinker is overjoyed, he can now break all of my favourite skinning knives
etc :)

Started with UO:SE. Guess they figured they should throw tinkers a bone, since
they didn't get anything else new.

Does anyone else really, really HATE those chimes? It seems that every house
I run past now, on any shard, tinkles at me, and yes, that IS as bad as it
sounds!

I can see the advantage in Fel - for home owners - you'd know the moment
anyone came near - can you hide them behind trees, too? - but it's a bit
like finding that the same song is on every radio station, all day long -
tinkle, tinkle, tinkle, wherever you go... Hopefully UOAssist will add it to
their list of blocked sounds soon.

It is nothing differnat than the statues. You have just become immune to
them. *smirks* Give a bit of time and you'll deafly ignore them too! :)

I just wish they'd let us make the big blue wind chime in diff colors.
*frowns*

No difference. Ingots impart the same properties to weapons. Tinkers can
enhance any of the weapons that they can normally craft.

You have some weird quoting going on with your top posting there.

Starting to hate them a bit. When I first went to the Savage Empire
(already full of houses of course) I was like "oooh, awe, listen to those
neat chimes, I have got to get some of those". So I locked some down on
my roof next to my guildstone. On the roof. Three floors up. Now when a
bird or something walks behind my house they go off. Also whenever I go
up my stairs they go off. I will turn them off soon, I think.

It's too bad that "on" doesn't just make them chime randomly like there is
a wind, instead of being proximity alarms.
