Hi All,

Regular lurker of the forum and first time posting - Looking for you guys' advice if possible 👍

Recently spec'd and bought my first PC and subsequently, headset - A Razer Kraken USB. The issue is a quiet, high pitched pulsating/alarm sound coming from the left speaker (mic side) that can be heard only when I play Modern Warfare. When at the desktop, or any other application the sound is absent and the headset works fine. Also tried the headset in different USB ports, the sound distinctly appears only when launching/playing the game.

I beleive the issue to be the microphone, as when I'm in-game and disable the mic in device properties in sound settings, the sound stops instantly, then comes back when I enable the mic. I've tried every in-game setting with no success.

Anyone have any ideas how to stop this as it's driving me mental. Cheers!

Solution
I've had this happen to me when my I play games that stress my laptop. Headphones plugged into it at that time will sometimes emit those sounds.
Try other headphones if problem goes away it's your headphones. If it doesn't go away it's the mobo probably.

Thanks man, currently have an MSI Tomahawk B450 Max and awaiting a friends headphones to try those. Hopefully it's just the headset.
