Tip for buying monitor!

Ooops, sorry, I was in a hurry when I posted this topic!
I'm looking for a monitor about 23 inches (can be a little more or little less), and it MUST be Full HD and LED.

The price range is a problem, because I'm brazilian and I don't know very well the price ranges in dollars, but I guesssss that my price range would be about 300 dollars!

As I'm going to spend a lot of money (A eletronic product that cost 300 hundred dollars, in Brazil can cost more than 1000 reais, and that is a lot!), I'm looking for the best thing I can buy with it!

I heard about a new LED monitor from Samsung, the BX2350, and on the internet It looks great! But I saw it in a store and the quality was actually very poor! So if you guys can give me an opinion based on pratical experience, I'd be very pleased!

Thanks all of you! =)

Why must it be LED? LED based doesn't necessarily give the best image quality.

In that price range, I'd get a Dell U2311H, which has 1920x1080 (full HD) and an IPS panel (excellent image quality). It uses CCFL backlighting though.

You might want to look into some higher end viewsonic products if they are available in your area for a good price. I myself have had a viewsonic vp201b for 5 years and its been great. My uncle just bought an x-series and it seems work work wonderfully as well. I'm a bit out of touch with the new models but here are two that hover around your price range. I checked models on viewsonic and prices on google-shopping.

x-series (gaming)
vx2450wm-led

pro series
vp2365wb

don't let the response time numbers fool you, the viewsonic pro series is quite a nice product. check them out in a local electronics shop! actually... you will want to check out any monitor you buy in a local shop if you can help it.

Thanks everyone! I'm still looking for a monitor and it sucks because here in Brazil we don't have stores with a good variety of monitor (showing images, pictures and movies at least) and they are more common... I know Viewsonic, but I've never seen it in any store here!!

Does anybody got any information about this Samsung monitor, BX2350?
I think it's quite recent product and at Samsung website it seems to be very good... But does anybody ever saw this one turned on in a store??

Thanks again!

You can't really tell quality in a store.

A. lights are not the same as in the house

B. they could be using a multi-monitor switch which will degrade quality unless it's a very high end switch

C. they may punch some settings up to make the monitor pop colors but look atificial

D. who knows what video card and cable is being used, could be using a 20' cable on the thing which will degrade quality

Do a google search for the models you want to check on, or check monitor reviews on toms or another site. You need to read reviews under controlled conditions. Generally the Dell UltraSharp series gets high reviews and is a good bet.
