Hello Everyone,

This week i will be selling my old pc and going to buy a new one so i have aimed for 1080p Ulta quality average 60fps gaming pc with peripherals being as quiet as possible. I am not an overclocker and do not think of overclocking until i come to a level that my cpu & gfx will get older and will be performing low fps on future.
Did not include a DVD since i will not be using the optical drive, going to install Windows through USB.
When doing this selection i have read a lot of articles, checked lots of parts also note that some brands and some models are not available in Turkey like Noctua, Fractal Design, and so on...
One more thing this is the max budget i can go, can't afford pieces that might cost more.

I will try to tell why i picked each piece;

Mainboard: ASUS Z170-P Z170 LGA 1151 DDR4 M.2 USB 3.1.
My comment: I would like to stick with Asus as they have longer warranty and a top mainboard brand i believe.
Graphic Card: ASUS GeForce Strix GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256 Bit My comment: This gfx does note make sound till the temp passes over 65 and has a low noise level. From gaming perspective i guess this will be enough to run games on 1080p ultra quality with the cpu.
Processor: INTEL Core i5-6600K up to 3.90 GHz LGA1151 ??lemci (6. Nesil Skylake)
Cpu Cooler: ZALMAN CNPS14X.
My comment: This one is producing a max. of 21 dba so its very quiet also there are very limited choices in Turkey for Cpu Coolers. As far as i know only Zalman, Thermaltake, Cooler Master, Silverstone, Xigmatek are available from the quality brands.
Ram: GSKILL 8GB (2x4GB) Ripjaws4 K?rm?z? DDR4 2400MHz CL15 1.2V Dual Kit
My comment: Mushkin is not available so there is only G.skill left for top quality and also there is no G.skill ram higher than 2400Mhz currently available.
SSD H-D: Samsung Evo 850 2.5" 120 GB SATA
My comment:This is just to boot Windows fast and maybe have enough install to run 1-2 games.
SATA H-D: SEAGATE Barracuda ST1000DM003 3.5" 1 TB 7200Rpm
Case: SILVERSTONE Precision (SST-PS11B-Q) USB3.0 Ses Kasa
My comment: There are not much quality case brands available in Turkey like Fractal Design, Rosewil, ... I had a temjing 09 and i was happy with the general quality so i am aiming to continue again with Silverstone.
PSU: SEASONIC SEA-S12II-620 Bronze 620W
My comment: This is the tricky part i guess. I know PSU quality is very important but Recommended PSU Wattage from calculators were 371 W so just to be on the safe side i have chosen a 600W PSU. I think the system can run reliably at cpu / gfx is at %100 load.
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Türkçe 64 Bit OEM

My Questions:

1- Can this system run games on 1080p Ultra Quality on average 60 fps?
2- Is there anything not compatible? If yes please, explain and make your suggestion
3- Is low wattage recommandation because of low power consuming cpu and gfx?
4- Is a 500W PSU enough to run this system even at %100 load reliably? If not please explain and make your suggestion.
5- Any tip/recommandation to change a part?
6- What do you think about the system by means of performance, quality, cooling and quietness?
7- Is there any bottleneck that might affect performance when playing games?

As for the 1080p you will be ok running Ultra on some games not all. I might suggest going with 2x8GB for your RAM instead and go with a 550W or 600W PSU The calculator that I ran game out with a suggested 420W so give yourself some head room and it will also run quieter.

Is this some sort of exam paper for us?. only the marks are missing. Anyways, Your build is quit enough to play games at 1080p resolution but for fps it depends. I see no in-compatibility issues with this build unless your case fit's the video card but most case will do fit. Why not get a MSI instead of Asus, its better. Still, you should be fine. That Antec 500 will handle your video card but a SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W will be a better alternative for little headroom. Kinstone SSDNOW v300 is worthy solid state drive but EVO 850 would be great choice if you can mange one. Try to keep away dust from dust filters & case fans and i like the zalman CNPS14X but as i said, you should clean up the heat sink (for at least after 6 month's or a year, once) to stay away from dust which could make your performance even worse.

1st of all thanks for the answers

Sorry if i asked in a direct way 🙁
Can you please tell "for fps it depends" part more? Do the build need more ram or a better graphic card?

Changing Antec VP500 to SEASONIC SEA-S12II-620 Bronze 620W and KINGSTON SSDNow V300 to Samsung EVO 850.
I also really liked CNPS14X, just could not understand the clean up part. Is it CNPS14X specific or do i need to clean up any kind of heat sink for at least 6 month?

Pretty certain Be Quiet coolers are available in turkey. Without overclocking even the basic cooler intel provides will suffice, if you going for quiet though you made a decent choice.

As for the GPU, Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, and MSI are all reputable brands. The Strix series are nice.

The 850 Evo would indefinitely be the SSD of choice right now. Here in the US the 250GB is only $30-$40 more and not only has a little over 2x the capacity, but is much faster, and lasts longer.

Basically, you want to keep your PC clean of dust. I usually clean my rig once a month to prevent buildup. Once dust is stuck on it's hard to get out. But every 3-6 months is sufficient.

I was just joking- that first sentence. :)
A single GTX 970 is good card for at 1080p gaming, You shouldn't have worry with that. For now 8gig memory will do fine but you will need another (2x4GB) DDR4 in future.

"for fps it depends" :- It totally depends on the game what you're going to play & in what settings you're playing (upcoming games) but for now, most of the games should run at max settings and expect an average 50-60 fps. It's the best choice to go with a 970 over 980 because a 980 will only provide you 5-6 fps more with $200 extra which i feel is not necessary or swap and get R9 390x which will be great choice over 970. They almost costs same or bit higher than ($10-20) more.

PSU: If you go with a radeon 390x then you need good power supply(650W +Gold will be enough). Antec, seasonic, corsair(not the base models) are the top power supply brands because they are trusted for reliability & performance. Other side, XFX, EVGA do make good power supply unit. So, a minimum 500W required to run a single 970/980. I suggest to get more than 500W for little headroom.

Cooler: Actually, it's process where they pull out the heat from the chip & the fans help them to pull away from that area. Sometimes, dust get filled within it. So, it can block most of air and raise the cpu temperature. Once a year, a proper maintenance is required. You don't need to worry, it's simple.
Step 1: Just take the heatsink out from the processor.
Step 2: Open the fans from them.
Step 3: Get a paint brush or a toothbrush & keep that heatsink on a paper and brush it well (where the dust is ).
Step 4: Clear the base plate with high purity isopropyl alcohol with the help of paper towel.
Step 5: Put a small amount of thermal compound and fit it well with chip.
Take help from a local technician who is used with such things.

I have a Philips 273E3LHSB which is a 27" monitor and i will be playing at 1920x1080 resolution. Aiming to play at Ultra / very high settings. The games i am gonna play are Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Rainbow six: Siege, Star Wars: Battlefron 2, Dragon Age: Inqusition DLC's, Counter Strike: GO, World of Warcraft: Legion, League of Legends / Smite / Heroes of the storm and lastly Civilization 5.

I checked on the performance about 970 and 980 and i totally agree, it really doesnt make sense to spend 200$ extra to get a little bit more fps with 980. As your suggestion gonna buy a Seasonic 620w. And for the ram, i guess dual channel 2x4GB over single 8 GB memory doesnt make much performance difference in games so i can also go with single DIMM right?

Dual-channel configuration always helps in increasing performance. Where you've listened about single DIMM is a wrong thought.
