Hello guys!

In the moment my PC specs are: i5 4690 (non K), GTX 1070, H97M 2X8GB DDR3, SSD 120GB/HD 1TB.

I'm looking foward to upgrade my PC to an i7 8700k, but i have a few questions:

  • To overclock my CPU, I must have a Z series mobo?
My DDR3 won't fit the new mobo?
Also, can you guys recommend me a good and not so high priced mobo?

Thanks

You need a z370/z390 motherboard.
Z390 does not cost much more and will usually have better power delivery which is good for overclocking.

You will need ddr4 ram. Speed is not that important 3000-3600 at most.

ASUS and ASrock seem to have the most active overclocking support.
Look for asrock in the not so high priced arena. Do not overlook the smaller M-ATX size.
