Tips for my build :)

As the title says I need suggestions for my gaming build 😀
Here it is:

Intel Core i5-4690K
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming
DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2x4GB) 2133MHz CL11 1.5V
Corsair Obsidian Series 450D High Airflow Mid-Tower Case
Seasonic M12II Bronze 750 750W 80 Plus Bronze retail
SSD Samsung 840 Evo Basic 250GB SATA3, 540/520MBs, 7mm
WD Blue 3.5'' 1TB SATA3 7200RPM 64MB

I'm not sure is the mobo and psu good for this build. So anyways as I said, I am open for suggestions how to improve this build.

Not sure I would spend that much of the budget on the case, but it's your call. Everything else looks good!

The RAM is optional but; 2133MHz G.Skill RipjawsX 8GB Ram is under £60 right now

Build looks good overall, I would drop the WD for a seagate barracuda drive, they are cheaper. I would also drop to 1600MHz ram, its cheaper and you dont benefit too much from higher frequency ram.

You should get a good cpu cooler. The stock cooler isn't going to cut it (cpu will run loud and hot), especially if you are going to OC.

Entry level fan (will suffice): Hyper 212 EVO
liquid cooling:
Mid level: H80i
High level: H100i

I would have the noctua nh d15 as mid level. Similar performance to the H100i, but same price point as H80i. Only drawback is that it is hideous 😉

ok 😛 I'm currently working on a budget build for myself so that's where the majority of my knowledge (which, honestly, isn't much) is.

Thanks for the answers. Will think about the cooling. Just a quick question will the EVO suffice for a small OC? Any thoughts how much I could up the frequency with it on 4690k?

It should most definitely suffice. The frequency is hard to call as every CPU is different.

So if you decide to get the EVO; the only other thing for me is what I mentioned earlier. Which is the harddrive. Seagate Baraacuda is much cheaper than WD Blue. If you want a WD HDD get the WD Black series as they are also cheaper but also generally perform faster and are more reliable.
