Hey guys I'm looking to get back into pc gaming (had to sell my old build to afford a laptop for college) and I've put together what I think is a pretty solid rig and would like to hear your opinions/suggestions. Just a few important notes, I'll be gaming on a single monitor 1080p 60Hz for the next while (but I'll eventually get a 4k monitor in the far future), I'm trying to futureproof this setup so it will last me a while (that's why some parts may seem overpowered), silent operating is important to me for at least the next year when I save enough money to really step up the performance.

CPU: i7-6700
CPU Cooler: NoFan CR-80EH
Motherboard: Asus Z170-E ATX
RAM: Trident Z 3200MHz CAS14 2x8Gb
GPU: Gigabyte GTX1070 Windforce OC
PSU: EVGA Supernova p2 650w
Case: Corsair 400c
Case Fans: Front intake 3 120mm Enermax Twister Pressure (23-80 Cfm, 14-25 Db), Top exhaust 2 140mm Rosewill Hyperborea (?-89.5 Cfm, 12.5-22.2Db), Rear Exhaust 120mm Rosewill Hyperborea (?-57.5 Cfm, 6.9-16.1 Db)

Sorry for the long post, any help or advice will be appreciated, thanks guys

I think an i5-6600K would still be quite future proof. It performs quite similar to the i7 in gaming. Also a K series benefits from a Z motherboard. An RX 480 or GTX 1060 would save some cash instead of the 1070. GPU is harder to future proof because they change so rapidly. The rest looks pretty good.
