Tips of heatsink shriveled up and discolored

Using Cooler Master 212x evo with asus z170 pro gaming and i7 6700k. Recently when I opened up the case, I noticed that the tips of the heatsink looked all shriveled up and a bit discolored. They were certainly not like before installation. Is this something to be worried about ? Please help !!!!
