Hello there!

This is my current build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KQmgwc (stock amd cooler) with a 1080p monitor. I also have s spare Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 5700 XT Pulse. I'm planning to refresh this case and pull some parts from this and combine it with others to make a second PC. The end result should look like this;

Air 240 - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8gV7W4 (1080p)
Cast 808 - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t6k6sL (1440 Ultrawide with stock AMD cooler)

This is how I'm planning to use what I have and buy some extra parts to put together two PC's. Keep in mind that the higher end PC is just a makeshift build at the moment and will be improved once newer parts get released.

So is there any obvious error or caveat that I've overlooked? I've decided to invest the 1600 into the 3400x1440 and the 3600 into the 1080p.

Thanks in advance!

Before you do drop in the Ryzen 5 3600, please make sure your BIOS is up to date. If you have a number of updates pending, please don't jump to the latest, I'd advise gradually working your way up to the latest version.

As a side note, how old is the PSU in your build? over time the advertised wattage of the unit will diminish considering that capacitors inside the PSU will degrade when taxed.

I've updated the b350 lately, but the 1600 will remain in it. The 3600 I'm planning to drop into the b550 steel legend. Regarding the PSU, it's 5 years old. But I didn't even turn on that PC for more than three years while travelling.
