I just bought an i5 8400 cpu long story short my motherboard only supports 100 when I need the 300 series.

Can anyone reccomend me a motherboard with the same dimensions as this that supports the 300 series? h110-i/g11cd/dp_mb ( stock mobo)

Also, is their any cpus for the 100 series that are equivalent or better than the i5 8400 within the same price range of $200? I feel like getting a new MOBO may be a pain.

You might want to include your current specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

You could carry over the ram, storage and PSU/case from the current system and have the board paired with the new board. At that point you may be running at lower frequencies than the chipset is able to support and you will need to reinstall your OS regardless of which board you drop in.

You forgot to mention where you're located and your preferred site for purchase.
