So I live in a hot humid climate and I currently live in a house that has no proper roof ventilation and no a/c, we cannot install any because we are running low on money and we will moving again soon. Its hot in here obviously and the only thing we have is a portable air con in the living room. My computer runs very loud because of that and the temperatures are higher than it should be. (55C-60C idle). Is there a way to reduce the computer's heat in an environment like this?

Thanks.

PC parts do not sweat, so thankfully, humidity does not play a role.

What is your ambient temperature?
A cooler should be able to maintain 10-15c. over ambient.
My sympathies if you are at 35c.(95f.) for which 55c at idle might be what is expected.

Check your case ventilation. Any cooler needs a source of fresh air to do it's job.
Try taking the case covers off and direct a house fan at the innards. If that helps much, look to case cooling solutions.

A top end cooler like a Noctua NH-D15s will let you come closer to ambient.

If you can replace fans, 140mm fans move more air at lower rpm and will be quieter.

With regular cooling like air or water you will not be able to go lower than ambient tempratures.

Only way to do that is to use a chiller, but then you have to watch out for condensation since you will be able to set temps lower than ambient room tempratures. This goes for water ofc.

Or go for a peltier solution. Loud and expencive but you can run sub zero temps.
