Tis the seaon, to upgrade or to not upgrade

Well, it's that time of the year again. Tis the season of sales and I have been contemplating upgrade. Should I upgrade to a skylake build or stick with my current build (See below). I use my current rig (See below for it) for both gaming, with heavy to mild modding, and school work. With the possibility of streaming/recording in the future, my friends and I have been thinking of starting a streaming group.

I would prefer to stay Intel and Nvidia, but I will listen to solid reason and numbers. I would be more than happy to make a simple upgrade build if needed. Budget range below 700$

Well, it's that time of the year again. Time to burn some cash that I have worked for. I have been contemplating getting a new graphics card, namely Asus ROG-STRIX-GTX1070TI-A8G-GAMING.

But thinking more on it, I wondered should I go for near broke and upgrade completely? Namely to a Skylake/Kaby Lake build. I use my current rig for both gaming, with heavy to mild modding, and school work. First...you need to have a budget...then work from there.
