Hi All.

My goal is to get better GPU rendering performance in Rdeshift for Maya.

I had a system with a GTX Titan (the original Titan) and bought a cheap second hand GTX 1070 to add to it.

Both cards work perfectly when installed alone, but when both are installed, the system becomes unstable, randomly locks up etc, I managed to open Maya and try a render but this also immediately froze the system.

I've tried resting the BIOS and installing different driver versions without any luck.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

System spec:

Asus p9x79 ws
4930K
EVGA Titan
EVGA 1070 FTW
Phanteks 1000W

You tried swapping around which card is in which slot? It's going to be a pain but maybe you can find a driver that'll work for both of them. It's tough even when same generation, real pain when that far different. Might run some tests I'm not sure if the 1070 or old Titan will perform better alone

Seems to be working for now.

I moved the cards to different slots. The 1070 is in slot 01 and the Titan is in slot 05. I also changed the Titan slot to PCI gen 2 and did a clean install of driver 397.64.

Render performance in Redshift has improved considerably.
