Titan X Maxwell vs 1080 ti

Would a used Titan X(M) be a better value for around $400-$550 than a new GTX 1080 ti? I’m about to build a new system, and I was wondering if I could save a significant amount of money with the GPU shortage by buying a used card with about the same specs.

Well, the hierarchy chart pegs it in the second tier, so, performance akin to a 1070-1070Ti I suppose. Not really fair to compare it to a 1080Ti.

I would say cross-shop vs a new 1070Ti or 1080. Plus, the used card is, well, used. Warranty is very unlikely to be transferable, if it hasn't expired already.
