Titan X vs GTX 980 Ti

So I purchased the Titan X EVGA SC yesterday BNIB Factory Sealed for $50 less then a 980 Ti (CAD$) I just want to know if I made the correct choice because everyone bashes on the Titan X. Comment what you think? And what is are safe temperatures to run it at? I want to OC just a tad but I'm not quite sure how and I'm not quite sure about safe temps.

The Titan X is undoubtedly better than the 980Ti. People bash it because it's only 2% better on games and costs 50% more money.

When it comes to Titan vs 980ti, the issue isn't a problem with hardware, it's a problem of price. If you got it at a great price (and it seems you did), then it's a good buy. As mentioned, the problem is that it's a stitch faster, but costs a metric ton more money (usually).

If you got it for that price, hats off to you.
P.S. Make sure you didn't get ripped off anyway(overpriced 980Ti to make the X look like a good deal; I have seen a R9 380 getting sold here in India for 32000 Indian Rupees($490), its real price is 18000 Indian Rupees($276).

Well at Canada Computers and other places the GTX 980 Ti and around 900$ not including tax with tac they are all over 1000$ and i got the Titan X for 1000$ so i thought i would be stupid not to get it.....

You got a good deal. But I thought it would be worth mentioning that if you wanted to go SLI in the future, you may want to consider the GTX 980 TI. It may be much harder to get another Titan X at that price again.
