A clerk at a Sprint store told me that the return rate from
people sitting on their Sanyo 6000 series and breaking them
was too high, so that's the reason Sprint isn't ordering
them.

Titanium isn't strong enough as a case material!?!?

Titanium doesn't do any good if the displays are mounted poorly and easily
damaged.

Of course, anybody dumb enough to put their phone in their back pocket and
crush it shouldn't have the priveledge of returning the phone for a refund.

"Sorry. No refund. The warranty doesn't cover user stupdity."

I believe you're thinking of the magnesium alloy faceplate.
I keep mine in my front pocket so I don't know how it would react to living
the back pocket. Just because it can fit in the back pocket doesn't mean it
should. When it comes to dropping the phone, I'd say they're pretty tough.

Titanium, megnesium, xxxium... In a phone, they're intended to make
the phone bump proof, not bullet proof!
