TL-WN821N wireless adapter help

Hi,

i have a 300 Mbps TL-WN821N wireless adapter Tp-link and cannot get it to work on my new windows 8.1 64bt.

I have looked on tplink for drivers but cannot find any above windows 7.

this is what it shows on the back of the wireless adapter and I'm unable to find what version this is. When I'm using windows 7 64bt i downloaded v2 but it doesn't say v2 on the wireless adapter..

The latest driver includes Windows 8 from HERE or HERE for versions 4 and 3 respectively.

Unfortunately, your picture shows a V2 (at the end of the model), so it is likely that neither will work. The V3 version is a beta W8 driver, so I doubt that V2 ever had any W8 drivers. I would try the V2 Win 7 driver that you downloaded and install it in compatibility mode.
