TL-WN822N - Won't detect Internet adapter...

So I've had this problem since I upgraded to Windows 10 over a year ago. The TL-WN822N network adapter decides to randomly drop lag spikes when I play games.

I got the Atheros AR7015 driver for my network adapter but I'm slightly sure (not entirely sure) that is a driver for Windows 7 only. So I searched up my network adapter and found out there was a new Windows 10 driver (with another name) that I decided to download.

However when I press the Setup.exe it shows me this error: https://gyazo.com/65fd2f3662625a748037f02f6d7749d4

I got the network adapter in but it won't recognize it somehow.

The setup folder is on the Desktop but I guess the location doesn't matter really(?)

Help is much appreciated so thanks in advance <3

That driver is only for the version 4 adapter, which is why you get the error.

You need a driver that is specifically for your version (v2), the latest and only Windows 8 version is HERE.

To try installation in compatibility mode you need to unrar the file, then right click on the executable driver installer. Select properties, then the compatibility tab, then choose Windows 8. If that one does not work, I would download the next oldest and try installing in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Windows 10 does not run older wireless adapters well unless the manufacturer updates the drivers, which most have not. And insure that any driver you use is for the correct version of that adapter, since there are a number of versions.

You can try installing the latest adapters in compatibility mode, but you may end up buying a new adapter that has actual Windows 10 support.

Well, the one I found was the right driver for my network adapter and was supporting Windows 10 but it still won't detect it.

That is the one I tried to download, however when I click the setup.exe it doesn't recognize my network adapter even though it's in.

The version of my adapter is V2.
How can I run the adapter in compatibility mode? I got Windows 10.
