Hi guys,

I have a Gigabyte B450M DSH3-CF and a Ryzen 7 2700x , stock cooler, running a mild oc to 4.1Ghz, on 1.32v from bios. PBO is enabled, ram is running in XMP 3000Mhz and everything else is left on auto.

TMPIN4 & TMPIN5 are suspiciously toasty both in idle and after 20 mins

These 2 sensors are supposed to be the mosfets (4) and Soc (5) , or at least that's what HW Info thinks but not sure since I cannot find any sensor info in the board's manual.

CPU does 30c idle / 83c max on load
TMPIN4 does 44c idle / 115c and climbing on load
TMPIN5 does 49c in idle / 79c load, relatively stable there

I'm guessing these are not normal operating temps. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

Why are you doing that "mild OC" ? More than likely you are stiffing performance with it. Make sure you have latest BIOS installed, enable PBO (2) and it should boost all cores over 4.1 GHZ, most to 4.2GHz+ and some over 4.3GHz.
Only real OC would be all cores to 4.25 - 4.3GHz and even then single core boost could be even higher. Mine can hit over 4.316 at single core if SW can push it that far.

Hi Mike,

With latest bios , PBO enabled and cpu clock on auto , my clocks never seem to go higher than 3.9Ghz, at least that's what HW Monitor says. They show up as higher in the max tab but I've watched them for several minutes and in current clocks they're all under 3.9

TMPIN4 goes up to 90c
TMPIN5 is at 70c
idle temperatures same as if running 4.1ghz manual oc in bios
cpu is at 71c

Any suggestions? Thank you.
