tmpin2 80c normal?

hello so i have noticed in hwmonitor that the tmpin2 reads 80-81c at idle is this normal?

mobo is a ga-770ta-ud3

processor is a phenom II x6 1055t. the program is gpuid hwmonitor

That's what I thought about program. Hwmonitor is never too accurate on AMD and often produce strange results. You'd be better of with AMD Overdrive program. http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/technologies-gaming/over-drive

in that program the tmpin2 is 39-40c but the tmpin 3 is 80c

That's stupid North bridge, just remembered that on My 780 chipset MB it was running that high and even more. A small 40mm fan on NB chip fixed that.

so i would just have to tape it on or what?

what about undervolting the northbridge, would that decreased the temps? and are it dangerous?

Gigabyte was listing it to be good for 90c but I used two dubs of epoxy glue to fasten it to cooler body. Dropped under 50c after that. A I was OCing 965BE to 4.2 GHz at that time I put a same fan over VRM section too.
