TN panels and fluorescent lamps

hello... anyone know alot about LCDs? is Cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) backlighting specific to TN panels or can it be found in more expensive panels like IPS and others... Thanks for any info

CCFLs are used by all LCD monitors.

Except those that use LED (rather new and expensive) backlighting.
