First off, let me start by pointing out that this is my first post here and I apologize if this has been posted in the incorrect section.

So, I am thinking about getting myself a new PC for Christmas and I think I have found a decent one that is within my budget.

Here it is:

Now, my question is, should I go ahead and purchase this one? Or do you guys think I would be able to build one with similar (or even better) specs for cheaper?

Thanks!

Agreed. Building may seem a daunting task but your pretty much just assembling pieces. It not only will save you tons of money, you will gain the advantage of being able to pick parts to suite your needs. You can easily get parts for a lower price that are better than this system. Also by "assembling" your own, you will gain vital knowledge to what you need in a pc for future reference.
