I recently had my PSU die on me (both PCI 6+2 cables stopped working) and I went to BestBuy and picked up a new Modular PSU...I wish someone would have told me how easy it was to install/organize Modular PSU's over regular PSU's.

For starters, when I created my gaming rig (this is actually my first attempt ever at building a computer) I thought all PSU's were pretty much the same, I couldn't have been more wrong. The first PSU that I got (the one that stopped working) was a sentey 750W that I got from Amazon for 60 bucks, after installing it and organizing the wires best I could, I was still unnerved by how messy it looked

after the PSU died and i spent the next day researching all over the internet (Tom'sHardware mostly) I went to BestBuy and picked up the Corsair CX750M for 60 bucks (BestBuy price matched it with the one on NewEgg) and I got to work re-wiring everything, about 2 hours later this is what my new rig looks like

Personally, it looks and feels much nicer and more organized. (and yes I know I don't have a heatsync I'm waiting for the MX4 Thermal paste to come in.) So if your deciding between a modular PSU or non-Modular, go Modular and save yourself the hassle of trying to hide wires you don't need.
