Hi,
following recent advice from other forumites here I went ahead and bought a GTX 760 and a new 600W PSU for my aging system. I also installed a new cooler for my CPU since the fan has been making funny noises for a while. The CPU now runs rather cool, about 25-30C idle and max about 40C under load. Now the question is, since my CPU is a pretty bad bottleneck, should I try to overclock it? What sort of performance gains could I look at? I mostly play ArmA 3, War Thunder and Wargame: Air Land Battle, and some sims like DCS: World.

Specs:
600W PSU Chieftec Smart Series
CPU AMD Athlon X2 250 3,0Ghz
CPU Cooler LC Power Cosmo cool lc-cc95
MOBO Asus M4A785TD-V EVO
RAM 8gb DDR3
GPU Asus Geforce GTX760 2gb
HDD: 1x 128GB SSD (OS) and 1X 500GB HDD (Storage)

Thankful for any input!

I would really look into replacing the CPU (if thats an option). That said, a higher clock will help out but im unsure as to the stability of the X2 250 at a distinct OC (4.0Ghx+). Im not confident a modest OC is going to radically change your gaming experience at 2 cores.
