I'm thinking of upgrading motherboards. Currently these are my specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
GPU: Nividia GTS 450
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Mobo: Biostar A785GE V6.4
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX600 V2
The RAM is what worries me. I feel that games will soon need more then 4GB of RAM to run properly, but DDR2 RAM is getting harder and harder to find, and when you do find it, it's expensive. So my question is this: what do I need to replace other then RAM to upgrade motherboards?

With the CPU you're running there, you'll need only replace the mobo and ram - most AM3+ boards should support your processor. You may even be able to utilize an AM3 board although your upgrade possibilities become far more limited then.

Thank you, is ASRock 970 EXTREME3 a good Mobo? The price I found it at seems reasonable but I don't want to buy junk.

Definitly Motherboard and RAM. Then, down the line probably the video card, by the time the 7 series come out, i'd suggest 760 GTX. When you hit GTX, you start noticing the difference on NVidia Cards. GTS always left me a little disappointed in the performance for the cost. That should be a good change, especially since its a 3 generation gap.
