Not sure if I should upgrade my CPU & GPU or build a new rig. I am starting to feel the age of my computer (a little over 6 years old). Also if building a new rig I am not sure if any of my old parts could / should be used from the previous rig. RAM and PSU were replaced about 2 years ago due to the older parts failing.

Additional Comments: Prefer Budget buys to top of the line, but would also like the new hardware to be able to run just about anything available other than VR Smoothly. Would also like to run 2 smaller gpus rather than one large gpu not sure if this is possible with my current MOBO.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Not able to run games at max settings any longer, noticing screen tears, FPS drops, and having to reduce game settings in order to watch streams and or movies.

Thank you in advance for any and all responses.

The only thing that you can keep from your old system is your PSU
But saying that, you would probably be able to sell your old system complete, rather than just for spares.

I personally would, sell complete computer and put money towards new one. There is nothing you can use from that for modern day stuff.
