To use the on-board sound or not?

I just bought a MSI motherboard with the via KT333 chipset. It has an on-board sound integrated with 5.1 and other cool features. I had a Soundblaster Live Xgamer before and I am wondering wich I should use, as I am a gamer.

I have a SB live value, so I don't know about the 5.1.

My live does ok. I don't get data corruption anymore; no crackling; no lockups.

I'm using the latest creative driver pack from their site (shudder), XP, and the 4.40 4n1's (which I have not tested fully, but are good so far).

Try the onboard sound first and find out if it's good enough.

I tried it and it seems great, easy to configure. I was just wondering in games, to use the latest features such as eax, etc... Wich is better? Both work for shure. Anybody?

Only you can decide whats best for you, man. Try both extensively and figure out which one sounds best to you!
