To Wait or not wait? I9 and z97

So I was gonna buy a PC for the next semester, so I made an i5 4670k and z87 ud3h.

Should I wait for z97 or i9 cpus?

There is no such thing as an i9. Only i3's, i5's, and i7's. Also, since the new CPU's are comming out soon, i'd wait to see what there prices are

I'm not aware of any upcoming i9 CPU. i7 will remain the high end of the range

I am so happy I didn't buy a new pc today, that mobo is good, but no sata express is just dissapointing

Let me see if I undestand z97 will support 1150 socket AND new cpus, but new cpus won't run on z87 mobos?

Some Z87 motherboards will run haswell refresh and devils canyon, but probably need a bios update.
Broadwell... no. No telling which will or won't now.
Best to wait a week for a Z97 motherboard. And perhaps enhanced haswell chips.
It is supposed to work with current chips and future broadwell.
They cost no more and have better capability than Z87.

Past that, you will be fine with i5-4670K for gaming.
If beginning of June is your build timeframe, look for a i5-4690K(aka devil's canyon) which should cost no more and give superior overclocking.

Broadwell desktop is next year and will not be a compelling upgrade if you have a i5-4670K.

Yep I need a PC before august. So I think it's worth the waiting, I will probably get a monitor and use Ipad an Ps4 for now

Wait a second, i5 3570k and i5 4670k are very similar I'm reading that the only difference is 100mhz and some temperature dropping is it true? Ñ
