The toei monitor is in a space invaders part II cocktail. 13" model CM
R14. The monitor powers up, then immediately shuts down. I can hear
the high voltage start, then it cuts off. There has been a snap every
time I discharge it to remove it.

What I have done: Zanen cap kit, replaced all other caps not included
in the kit, removed and checked all fuses, looked for cold solder
joints, replaced voltage regulator transistor. B+ is at 155vdc at one
end of the ceramic resistor, 157vdc at the other.

The game plays blind. All cocktail cabinet fuses are fine. I am at
the end of my ability to troubleshoot this chassis. I would like to
repair it myself for the challenge (and to save a few bucks). The neck
has twelve pins, so I think an 8liner replacement isn't an option.

Does anyone have any wisdom they can share with me regarding the repair
of this monitor? What could I try next?
Thanks.

I'm not familiar with that particular model so I can't be of much help.
Sounds like the x-ray/over voltage protection circuit is cutting in.
Possibly a transistor in that area needs replacing.

That's about all I can contribute so far. I'm sure Ken or somebody else
here has some experience with them and can point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the help. How would I go about locating that circuit? I
don't have any schematics, nor could I find any on the 'net. Is it
something I can visually follow the solder traces to?
Thanks again.
