He's not quite yet at the George Blanda level.

I checked into a motel in Santa Rosa CA, where the Raiders were training at the adjacent football field in August 1974. Your friend and mine, Richard Nixon, resigned the same day.

All the players were sweating in the 100 degree temps on the field. Except Blanda. He said hello from his chaise lounge as I acknowledged him at the motel's swimming pool. He was a few weeks short of 47 at the time.

Ho hum. Call me when he starts kicking field goals and extra points to the same level as George Blanda while also quarterbacking at age 48. Maybe then I'll be impressed.
