I need some new books to read. I need some good suggestions. Heres the last few books Ive read. What do you guys read?

The Game of Thrones series. - All of them, it was epic.

Kingkiller Chronicles. -Awesome fantasy great writing and like a 5 year wait for the third book.

The Road - Dark, brutally dark.

Diary - Chuck Palahnuik. Good read not a great ending. IMO.

Ringworld and Return to Ringworld - Classic but kind of confusing. I like some hard scifi but its always hit or miss.

2012 And the Return of Quetzalcoatl - Trippy book. Literally.

American Gods. - Great premise.

The hunger game trilogy. - First one was good, second one was OK, Third one was kind of a turd.

Anyone have any good reads lately?

Ive seen the dragon lance chronicles around and Ill give them a go.

But as for fantasy I do recommend the King Killer Chronicles, but as the series was getting good I caught up and now have to to wait half a decade.........

I tried reading Eragon and couldn't bring myself to finish it.

My personal favorite fantasy series is by Raymond E. Feist. his writing style has been compared to a modern day Tolkein. The first book is Magician which was split into two parts because of their combined length; Magician; Apprentice, Magician;Master. The world is amazing and engulfing, spanning generations as the story progresses. I am about 9-10 books in right now and am starting another act in the series, this one a 4 book war.

Robert Jordan is always a great choice as the Wheel of Time series is so huge and engulfing as well, similar to Feist.

Terry Goodkind's first book in his huge series, Wizard's First Rule, is long, played out and kind of drags.

Non-novels that I like:
Jerry Seinfeld's 'Seinlanguage" is an amazing book and I reccomend it to anyone who needs a quirky, intelligent and funny look at human relationships to laugh at (taking a break from the serious stuff). WARNING: JERRY SEINFELD MAY BE CONSIDERED A LIBERAL.

This is up on my list to read:
The American Way of War by Eugene Jarecki

End the Fed by Ron Paul

The 4hr Work Week by Tim Ferriss

Eh, R.A. Salvatore's books are pretty good as well. I'll leave it at that.

Outside of that:
Generation: Kill
Moment of Truth in Iraq (Michael Yon)
Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
Total Money Makeover (Dave Ramsey)
The Art of War (All 3 combined books)
The Book of Five Rings (This is really good, cultural stuff)
The Art of Happiness (Dalai Lama, not a religious text)

Yeah, I don't really read a lot of fantasy stuff. I read for education. :)
