Hey all,
I'm looking at new servers for our gaming community. There are some actually nicely priced servers that can handle VM technology for the speeds that they put out and the amount of memory that is on them. However, those nice priced ones have low FSB(I'm looking at one at 800Mhz).

I wanted to get any opinions on how first person shooter game Servers(and other high FPS games) will handle on a slower FSB(like a 800Mhz) versues a faster FSB(like a 1333).

How much does the FSB matter on a game server?
Thanks!

Front side bus, has almost nothing to do with the speed of the system, what is far more important is cpu/ram speeds, as for a server i have never build one but since you are talking about fsb i imagine its socked 775 and below since those are the last ones to use fsb after that nothing uses it anymore, i am not sure if that server would be able to even remotely handle anything modern it depends on how taxing the loads will be and how modern
