I bought a new PC 2 weeks ago and today I wanted to see what is my CPU,GPU teperature but i discovered something ridiculous. My GPU temperature is OK but my CPU temperature was 74-94 C and when i played League of legends it gets to 115 C , but when I went to BIOS temperature was 46 C.
AMD OverDrive shows that thermal mergin is about 35 C.
Now when I am writing this, temperature is about 60-75 C.
I am using HWMonitor for monitoring temperature.

This is when i first opened HWMonitor

So Basically your CPU temp might be giving you wrong information. Try analysing that temp by the touch. If it is warm as hell , you should probably change your thermal paste and heat sink.
If not than it might be the CPU temp which is giving you wrong info..
As simple as that. 😉
If you experiencing issues like frequent restart of CPU and all that that probably due to your poor functioning of heat sink and paste

Im not sure about HWMonitor, but I always use Core Temp to monitor my cpu temp. Perhaps try that.

When looking at your bios, the cpu temp will always be lower since its not at load (like when you are gaming). But even at idle, 46 seems a bit high. What CPU do you have and are you using the stock heatsink? Are you overclocking?

If you installed an after market heatsink, it might not be seated properly and thats why you have such high temps.

Another thing is that your bios should automatically shut down the computer if the temp goes above 100. So I am guessing that the program you are using is just wrong. Its hard to say without additional details.

All fans are working good and everything else is working , thermal paste was applyed on stock cooler.

But I heard from a frend for program AIDA64 so I installed it and he is reporting some normal temepretures.

So should I just assume that its all softwer problems or should I at least change thermal paste?
