I built my new system a few weeks back, although I was intending to upgrade it soon, my 8 y.o. 22" Samsung monitor has started to die...
I've never seen any screen tearing on my old monitor despite it's age, even on my new system, (because it has a 2ms refresh?) so I'm not really that bothered about G-sync as I think it's expensive for what it does...
There's a lot of monitors to choose from but have narrowed it down a fair bit but would like to know your thoughts on the following....
Benq XL2430T, 144hz and 1ms around the £287 mark
LG 24GM77 with the same 144hz and 1ms but for only about £200 or the
AOC G2460PG 144hz, 1ms and (free? lol) G-sync for around £300.

I'd prefer 1440p resolution but there isn't many 24 inch models at that resolution. But the 3 above are all full HD. I can probably stretch to about the £350 mark...

I sit, at max, about 2 feet away from my monitor and as it's directly in front of me I'm not worried about viewing angles either. I know the pros and cons between TN and IPS panels....
I'd like a panel with a fast refresh rate(like those listed above) for primarily gaming...

UPDATE:
Bought an LG 24GM77 and it's a great bit of kit. Brightness was high out of the box, other than that it was a doddle to set up!
