Too many handles? (72000 handles ON IDLE)

In task manager I have massive amounts of handles and threads, even when idle. I've been struggling with input lag and low fps issues for like 6 months now, and couldn't find an answer since. My motherboard, gpu and cpu, usb ports got replaced (its an Alienware 17 r4), even my power adapter has been replaced but nada. Still getting max 200 fps in csgo, low settings. and cant hit 300fps in overwatch in low settings 1080p which gtx 1070 and i7 7700hq is easily capable of. You might ask "why would you want so many frames" , and it's because more fps means less input lag which is extremely important for me.

Specs: nVidia GeForce GTX 1070
intel i7 7700HQ at 3.8 ghz
16 GB DDR4 RAM (dual 8gb, 1200mhz per stick, 2400 mhz total)

Yes, it's normal and I'm not aware of any handles:game connection really. My PC has been on a few days now and I have 162,000+ handles. It's still gaming at the same FTP as first boot really. I'm still as bad as I ever was, not getting any worse.

If you want to get that 300+ fps, you're going to have to look somewhere else than handles I think.

Good luck.

BTW - Input lag, that would be when you press a key/move the mouse that your game doesn't respond. I wouldn't connect that with FPS either. Not directly. I would think it's more CPU load that would cause such a feature.

I'm catching I'm up to 88000 now :)

Actually you lose - I'm sure the OP thinks less handles means more FPS
