Well as Kish has said, what is best totally depends on who is in your
group and what you've chosen to put their proficiencies in. But
here's a few thoughts:
> Rasahds Talon
> Belm+2
Belm is a very nice weapon for Jaheira because she's a fighter/druid
and is restricted. Problem is its only +2. When you face monsters
that require +3 or better for Jaheira there is: The Waters Edge (+3
scimitar), Blackblood (+3 club), and Firetooth (+3 throwing dagger).
> Staff of thunder and lightning
I never had much use for staves except for the Staff of the Magi. I
prefer 1 handed weapon and shield when possible. Also, lightning bolt
is too unpredictable for my tastes. It's easy to seriously harm or
kill your own party with lightning.
You have to recharge staves by selling them and buying them back. It
gets very expensive.

Sell

If you are into axes, this is a good weapon against trolls and such
that have some immunity to being killed or hurt by non-elemental
weapons. If you are good aligned you can use Azure Edge (+3 throwing
axe). There is also Stonefire (+3 axe, deals fire damage). Stonefire
and Frost Reaver make a nice pair of axes for dual wielding warriors.
I had Valygar maxed out on axes once and he was great dual wielding
those two.
> malakar+2
Find Celestial Fury, if scimitars are your thing. You can sell this
unless you also want to dual wield Katanas, otherwise it is worth
keeping until you can find another +3 katana.
> elven court bow+3
If you have a longbow character this weapon is a keeper until you can
get Heartseeker or Strongarm.
> skullcrusher+3
Any cleric can make good use of this weapon. I kept it for Aerie to
club goblins with, and Minsc used the Mace of Disruption. Needless to
say, Aerie doesn't see front line combat in my group, while Minsc sees
pretty much all of it.
> staff of fire+2
Ibid on staves, though this one is better than the lightning one
because its fire spells are easier to control the area of effect.
> soul reaver+4
A great weapon for an evil fighter who likes 2 handed swords. Whos in
your group? And if you're evil, you'd probably like the Gith Vorpal
Weapon alot better. Too bad you can't dual wield them!
> rod of smiting
Never had much use for rods. My fighters do the heavy fighting and
their proficiencies lie elsewhere.
> flame tongue
Early on a nice weapon for a longsword fighter. Good against trolls
and good as a general longsword where +2 or better isn't required.
