Too much ram usage for no reason? windows 10

Hello,

So I've noticed that sometimes my ram usage can be 90% while my pc is idle( I have 8gb ram) and when I restart my pc it can be 45% fully loaded while playing a game + having a few tabs opened in microsoft's edge.

I don't think so. I've just ran a few virus scans, that's all. Yesterday I restarted my pc and after playing for 1-2 hours the ram usage while having steam, skype and Microsoft edge open was 30-40%. I left my pc open for 5-6 hours because I was downloading something and when I came back the ram usage was 85% Is there a possibility that my ram is damaged? Or is this issue windows- related 100% ?
