[SOLVED] Too much thermal paste?

Hey guys, I purchased this https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106503
and it comes with factory applied thermal paste already on the heat sink.
So my question is, when I move the cpu from my old motherboard to my new one, after cleaning it, should I put a drop of my own thermal paste on the cpu in conjunction with the thermal paste that is already on the heat sink, or just let what's on the heat sink be enough.
Thanks and appreciate any opinions, or what you would do if in this case.

Just use the paste that's pre-applied on the heatsink. Using extra will likely lead to worse temperatures.

Just be sure to completely clean the old gunk off the CPU first.

Isopropyl alcohol (70+) and a coffee filter.

Huh coffee filter, never would have thought of that, was thinking baby wipe, have lots of those lol

Coffee filter = no lint.

Baby wipes will leave behind a little bit of perfumery type substance.
