Top Budget 1080p Monitor?

Hey guys, I'm kind of new to PC gaming and I currently using only one monitor. I'm looking for a 1080p budget monitor (it doesn't have to be gaming) and I'm planning on using this stand with it http://tinyurl.com/h752zsu I don't have too much space on my desk so anything above 24" is not compatible.

I would really appreciate any help?

Usually, that depends on your budget exactly. XD The top picks are those from ACER, ASUS and Benq. Check out this list for prices:

If you want the absolute cheapest, with the best ratings, the HP 22xw is a great 22-inch monitor.
The response time is a bit slow for gaming, but the colors and quality are guaranteed.

"Top" is really subjective. Doesn;t sound like you want anything too, too fancy...
<24", 1080p, any preference on refresh rate?....... I assume relatively slim bezels would be nice?

Well, I'm not trying to spend any more than £130. The bottom monitor you linked seems great but it doesn't seem to be mountable.

The monitor looks great and the specs are perfect for me but unfortunately it isn't mountable.

Oh, sorry...I assumed a modern monitor would have VESA.........>_>;;; HP is being stupid.

That Dell monitor Barty mentioned doesn't have it too....let me check for another one.

Same as Natsukage, I'd assumed all relatively new monitors would have a VESA mount... sorry about that.

I personally recommend the VH238H

I've sadly had bad experiences with AOC over the years...especially on the lower end models.

Seems perfect, I will be basically using it mainly to have YouTube open or watch movies so this will probably do.

Ah, I missed the UK part.... That AOC is ~160GBP.

If you wanted to keep the IPS panel, then I'd suggest looking at this 22" LG for 99GBP:

Otherwise, drop the IPS panel and this ASUS 23.6" monitor is 109GBP:

If there's issues with dead pixels or backlight, then you might need to return it. AOC isn't top of the line for quality check. xD

IF you're buying in the US, the AOC makes the most sense to me. Arguments could be made for/against, but you appear to need a pretty basic 1080p monitor, and it should serve you just fine.
