So I'm having some issues with my RGB LED on my MSI z270 Gaming M7
My system is:
Intel: i7-7700K
Noctual NH-D15
Corsair vengeance RAM
MSI-z270 Gaming M7
EVGA 750 Gold Plus
Thermaltake f31 Suppressor
NZXT 3 Sentry Fan Controller
MSI GTX 1070

Basically my situation is this. Today I had someone switch my components from one case to the Thermaltake and "downgrade" me from a Corsair h100iV2 to a Noctua NH-d15.

Everything seems to be working fine however when I got home I noticed the RGB's on the top half of my gaming M7 MoBo were not working. The RGB's on the bottom half (GPU and below) are wroking fine. Could My noctua cooler have knocked something loose on install? I'm not overly concerned about the lighting I am just concerned that this could be a symptom of a deeper issue. Is there anyway to check the health of my Mobo. This thing is pretty much brand new So I am kinda concerned that stuff already seems out of wack

Thanks.

Actually that wasn't a downgrade, the air cooler is superior to the AIO only thing is that it's a massive piece of metal hanging off the board and is more akin to a Chevy block over the hood ;P

It would be a good idea to check and recheck if the RGB headers (provided you're talking about the headers and not the soldered on LED's on the motherboard) have been dislodged. Following that it'd be a good idea to also check to see if your motherboard BIOS is up to date.

As far as product death is concerned, just make sure your papers are in order and that you've informed the seller of what has happened. It would also be a good idea to keep MSI's tech support in the loop in case something goes awry.
