top mounted hdd 2.5 cannot be detected

i have a case with a top hdd dock. http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001969. it is not detectable in the disk management too. however i can hear it spinning.

Is the cable connected to your motherboard (there must be a sata cable coming from it)?

Yes actually after reviewing some information here and there i found out that i have to pick the ACHI supported sata plug and turn on the hotswap option from the bois.
